Last night, a slate full of CBS repeats helped ABC take an easy win with the viewers. Unfortunately, the Alphabet network still had to settle for a tie with FOX in the demos.
8pm
- Dancing with the Stars (18.8 million, 4.2/10 in 18-49) did slightly better than last week.
- Game 5 of the World Series rained on 13.2 million.
- The Big Bang Theory* (8 million, 3.1/8) lost 1.3 million; How I Met Your Mother* (7.3 million, 3.0/7) fell by nearly 2 million.
- Chuck (6.5 million, 2.5/6) was down by 200,000.
- Gossip Girl (3 million, 1.5/4) remained steady.

MONDAY (10/27)
- Heroes (NBC, 9pm): “Angela asks Sylar to save Peter.” As if anyone believes that Peter - or anyone else - would really die at this point.
- Jon & Kate Plus 8 (TLC, 9pm): “The Gosselins get ready for a trip to Hawaii, where Jon and Kate will renew their wedding vows.” This time around, they’ll be paying to feed 8 more guests.

- My Own Worst Enemy (NBC, 10pm): “Edward’s trip to Mexico to gain intel on Russian weaponry doesn’t go as planned.” Nothing about this show is going as planned.

Could Enemy be this year’s Bionic Woman? After a disappointing debut week, NBC’s flashy new series hit another low last night. The Peacock network’s failure meant another split night for ABC and CBS.
8pm
- Dancing with the Stars (18.6 million, 4.1/10 in 18-49) got 800,000 more tapping along.
- The Big Bang Theory (9.3 million, 3.5/9) was down a notch; How I Met Your Mother (9.4 million, 3.9/10) picked up 300,000.
- Approximately 6.7 million watched Nicole Richie’s cameo on Chuck (2.5/6).
- Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles (5.3 million, 2.1/5) was down 300,000.

Monday Ratings: My Own Worst Enemy Sets New Low

After several weeks of dismal ratings, NBC pinned its Monday night hopes on Christian Slater. Unfortunately, the overhyped new series failed to deliver. This left ABC walking away with the viewers while CBS had a hold on the demos.
8pm
- Dancing with the Stars (17.8 million, 4.0/10 in 18-49) was down 1 million.
- The Big Bang Theory (9.4 million, 3.6/10) was up a tick; How I Met Your Mother (9.1 million, 3.9/10) did slightly less.
- Game 4 of the NLCS (2.5/6) scored 7.3 million.
- Chuck (6.2 million, 2.4/6) improved by 300,000.
- Approximately 3.3 million watched a new Gossip Girl (1.6/4).

MONDAY (10/13)
- Chuck (NBC, 8pm): “Sarah’s ex-flame and partner, Bryce Larkin, makes an unforeseen return and goes undercover with Sarah as an overly affectionate couple.” Unforeseen return? I predicted he would come back last year!
- Little People, Big World (TLC, 9pm): Season 5 premiere. “Matt travels to Baghdad to help dwarf children in need of medical attention.” By doing so, he has now milked new meaning out of the show’s title.
- Samantha Who? (ABC, 9:30pm): Season 2 premiere. “Sam teams with her mom in a dance competition against Regina’s nemesis (Cybill Shepherd) and her partner, who just happens to be a ringer.” Why do I always find myself rooting against Cybill Shepherd?
- My Own Worst Enemy (NBC, 10pm): Series premiere. “The implant in Henry Spivey’s brain that separates the two identities begins to malfunction, leaving each side fighting for dominance.” On one side, we have the Christian Slater who excelled in Heathers. On the other side, we have the Slater who stunk in Mobsters.

Role Refill Ordered for My Own Worst Enemy
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Drama, Prime Time, NBC, News,
Is Madchen Amick officially making a comeback? After a string of parts on various shows, the actress has nabbed two high profile television roles this year.
Amick, best known for her years on Twin Peaks, already has a juicy stint coming up on Gossip Girl. Now, she’s just been asked to do a last-minute replacement on My Own Worst Enemy.
Even though the NBC show is scheduled to premiere in just a few months, it’s already had to deal with a few untimely changes. Recently, the show’s creator was pushed further into the background while one of the co-producers was promoted to executive producer/showrunner status. Now, the freshman series is having to rebuild itself around a new actress.
Originally, Yara Martinez (The Unit) was scheduled to star opposite Christian Slater. Amick will now assume the role of the unsuspecting wife. (Slater plays a man with two personalities; one’s a regular joe, the other’s a spy.)
Are these changes symbolic of a troubled season to come? We’ll find out when Enemy premieres on October 13.
NBC Lays Out Fall Schedule

Last week, NBC‘s programming chief got a jump start on the competition by revealing his company’s calendar for next year. In addition to the fall lineup, the programming schedule through Summer 2009 was revealed.
Of all the interesting notes, I actually found it quite refreshing to hear that the network will be working to keep the 8 o’clock time slot a “family hour”. (In other words, they’ll put the most family friendly things they have - whether they really should be watched by children or not - during that portion of the evening.) After the kids are put to bed, NBC will then kick things up a notch with an hour of “blockbuster” programming then sixty minutes of adult-themed content.
